How we do business

We would like to take a moment to tell you about the trucks we offer you at Key Truck Sales Inc. We feel that our truck buying and reconditioning process is an important advantage that we offer to our customers.

Unlike the big dealers, who can buy dozens of trucks at a time sight unseen, I try to inspect and drive every truck I buy BEFORE they are offered for sale to the public. This allows me to cherry-pick the best trucks, and leave the rougher ones for other dealers to buy at auction.

Once I get my trucks to Delaware, each one undergoes a thorough inspection by a certified mechanic at an independent repair facility near us. Needed repairs are made, a proper maintenance service is completed, and if the truck meets or exceeds 10,000 lb.GVWR, a Federal Annual Inpection which is required by the DOT, is completed. This means that any repairs needed to assure the safe operation of the truck on the highways is completed before the unit can be certified. So, you can be assured that nearly every truck we offer is 100% ready to work safely and properly at the time you take delivery. (On the few cheaper trucks, ususally under $6000, that are not reconditioned to this level, we tell you about it at time of inspection. Plus we inform you of any defects we are aware of.)

In addition to the mechanical repairs mentioned above, each unit also undergoes cosmetic reconditioning which includes a proper detailing, and sometimes minor paint or body work.

WE DO NOT BUY AND REBUILD WRECKED TRUCKS.

Compare this process to the dealers who buy trucks blind, change the oil, wash them off and wish you luck. I think you will agree that buying a used truck from Key Truck Sales Inc. makes good sense.
